Sri Lanka is not that big, about 1.5 times as big as the Netherlands, an ideal country for a tour! You can travel in different ways. There are beautiful routes that you can do by train, but also by bus, TukTuk or private driver you will arrive at your next destination!

One of the most famous train journeys in Sri Lanka is the train journey between Ella and Kandy. A breathtaking route with mountains, villages and tea plantations. An overview of all train connections can be found here :-)

On routes where the train does not run, there is always a bus. And for the short distances, there is a TukTuk on every street corner that will take you to your next destination. You can also arrange a private driver for not too much money who will drive you all over the country or even rent your own TukTuk.

Please note that the buses and trains can be (over)crowded in the morning and late afternoon. And that, as we said before, the bus can be quite an experience.
